Though we like Klim's Adventure Glove (we would not sell it if we did not), The BOMBERS feel the design is a bit confused. For some applications, the design is on the mark, others....maybe not. It is made with super-premium materials: Poron XRD Padding, Pittards leather, and 3M Reflective piping, which all reflect Klim's commitment to quality. In fact, the quality is immediately tangible. The issues that we feel are relevant are the palm pad design and the fit. Klim says this is an Adventure Glove. In our definition, ADV includes street, and for street use, the palm reinforcement is incorrect. The palm reinforcement is textured Pittards. Pittards says this material is good for abrasion, but what they do not tell you is that they mean abrasion from rope - NOT asphalt. Additionally, the palm reinforcement is inlaid into the palm, instead of overlaid. This construction greatly weakens the palm for abrasion. The second thing is the fit. The Adventure runs 1 full size small, and has thin fingers. Everyone needs to upsize +1, and those with thick digits will probably not like the fit (YMMV). Who is the Adventure Glove for? Dual sport riders that want a leather glove or something more protective than an MX glove; TAT riders; and anyone who feels MX gloves are too light and street gloves to stiff. That is a narrow group, but if that is you, this glove is excellent.
