The BOMBERS really like the 2012 MSR X-Scape jacket. We feel obligated to state that the previous X-Scape was stunningly awful, but this new one is better in every way. The weight is moderate, and the flexibility and comfort are very good. It uses a cheapo waterproof membrane that does not breathe very well, but the SEVEN vents do a good job of compensating for that. It is now comparable to the Klim Traverse, and in one way better: It fits much better with armor underneath. The d3o armor is a nice plus too.
