Moose Racing M1.2 Enduro Boots (and also the
MX version) are the best sub $150 boots we have found. Our previous fave was the Axo Boxer, now discontinued...but these are frankly much better. Repeat: we looked at nearly every MX and enduro boot model we could find at the entry $100 - $150 price point, and chose the Moose M1 by a wide margin. Seriously, the product managers at Moose knocked this one out of the park.
Here are the reasons why: 1. they have a more supple, flexible feel. Most entry MX boots feel like lead casts...not these. 2. they have lots of padding on the inside of the foot chamber, which makes them comfortable, snug, and cushy, just like expensive boots. 3. they have a nice, wide fit. 4. they have great protection.
NOTE: because of the extensive internal padding, Moose M1.2 Boots fit slightly small.. We suggest going up 1/4 to 1/2 over your typical US size.
