Thor Impact Rig SE

We have been selling the Thor Impact Rig SE for a while now, and it is our most popular and most recommended armor. Truth be told, it is not great at any one function, rather, it is good at everything. The Impact Rig SE is a blend of protection, comfort and ventilation, versatility, and price. We look at body armor constantly - it is one of our favorite categories - and know all the players well. Most of what we see have some features that impress, but they also have huge deficiencies...funky fit, poor quality, lack of comfort, questionable protection, or egregious overpricing. The Thor IR-SE does not excel at any one thing, but it does not suck at anything. Every time armor comes up, in a ride or a conversation, we eventually roll around to the IR-SE. (And in case you can't believe a retailer just said that about a product....yes, we did.) The Impact Rig SE is a composite of the good features from several other pressure suits we sell, all combined into one product. It has the firm, high quality plastic of the Acerbis Koerta, the one-piece chest plate of the 661 Vapor, the modular design of the Rockgardn Flak Jacket, and better fit than them all. Fit of the Impact Rig SE is spot-on, not so tight and restrictive like other suits. The back protector is removable, and can be taken off and worn inside a jacket if it has an internal pocket. The kidney belt is also removable, WITHOUT removing the back protector. This is a nice feature for those who do not like anything tight around their waist. Fabric is really comfortable, breathable, and high quality. Perhaps best, the 1 piece chest does not sacrifice protecting your sternum. Finishing, fit and quality on the Impact Rig SE are all solid.
