Like cool bikes? HM Honda, based in Italy, is a partnership between Honda Italy and Montesa (Honda actually has a small stake in Montesa). This may not seem unusual, but consider that Honda is normally very conservative and not given to such arrangements. Anyway, HM makes some really cool limited production bikes, especially cool enduros. Like this one, the HM CRE F300X:
HM mods the motors, suspension, and adds cool bolt-ons that make the bikes both street legal, and high perf. Oh, and by the way, they also CONVERT THEM TO FUEL INJECTION!! They make them both in stock displacements, plus big bore versions. It may not make sense, but to hardcore bike geeks (us), the idea of a professionaly built fire breathing CRE F500X that can be raced and subsequently used to run to Newport Market to pick up some of these is highly appealing to us.
Only bummer is that they seem to have dropped the USD fork, e-start, big bore, street legal XR440 that they previously sold. Sigh.
