The Klim Adventure Suit is an huge, huge step for our Klim friends in Idaho. Everyone knows they make great off road and snow gear, we use it and love it. But the Adventure Suit is their first attempt at making the best street / ADV gear in the WORLD. This is a much, much higher goal, and a full-frontal assault on established brands like BMW, Dainese, Rukka, etc. It seems to polarize some, but everyone should respect Klim for such an ambitious goal.There is a ton of info (and jealous bickering) about this suit available on the web already, so, we will focus on some details The BOMBERS feel are paradigm-shifting.
The most significant detail of this entire project is the fact that the waterproof layer is the outermost layer of the suit. Most waterproof gear uses an internal waterproof liner, meaning the entire shell of the garment can get soaked, heavy, and cold. The Klim Adventure Suit stops water at the outer layer, staying light, drying quickly. If this seems insignificant...it is not. In simple slang, it is huge.
In The BOMBERS opinion, the second most-significant detail is the "load balancing system". This is an internal / external system to distribute the weight carried by adventure riders. Anyone who has ever carried tools, food, tubes, etc. knows what a pain in the neck this can be, and anything that makes it easier is...huge, dude.
