Here's a little industry insider info: there is one factory in China that makes tha majority of the boots imported here for the US brands (BOMBERS have been there....). They make a ton of different models, but they offer their basic boot "chassis" to pretty much any brand. The chassis uses the same basic fit, sole, buckles, and plastic shapes, but they allow each manufacturer to apply their own graphics. If you look closely at the AXO Boxer, the Answer Fazer, and this - the MSR VX-T boot - you can see this. While this may not be the best R+D story, one thing is important: It is a great boot.
These MSR's are basically the same as the AXO Boxer's we sell, and have had great customer satisfaction with them. They use a basic design, but the fit, protection, and durability are all excellent, and better than some more expensive models out there (hint: stick to Goodyear welt construction for Chinese boots...if you want more info, call us). Considering these are LESS THAN $100 THEY ARE A SCREAMIN DEAL.
Seriously, because we know who makes this stuff, how it is made, and how much it costs, right from the factories, we are sorta picky. And these impress us - not an easy thing to do.
