The HJC SyMax 3 is our favorite modular in the HJC line. It does not have the smoking value of the HJC IS-MAX 3, but styling and materials get a big upgrade. All colors look good, but the Hi-Viz looks kickass in person. The shell materials are a little more technical, and the interior is more plush. The HJC line has a near-Toyota level of finish on all their helmets, noticeably better than other mid-price brands.
  • Lightweight, fiberglass and Spectra® composite weave shell with an ABS / polycarbonate alloy chin bar
  • Large eyeport opening for greater visibility
  • Dual-density lightweight EPS liner
  • Flip-Up Chin Bar and Face Shield:
  • Single-button release allows chin bar/ face shield to be opened with one hand
  • Central locking mechanism can easily be operated with either hand
  • Flip-up chin bar makes communicating with your helmet on easier, and wearing glasses more comfortable
  • ACS Advanced Channeling Ventilation System:
  • Multi-stage intake vents combine with rear exit vents to provide flow through ventilation
  • Chin bar intake vent provides airflow across shield to help eliminate shield fogging
  • Removable, washable, Silvercoolâ„¢ antibacterial moisture wicking comfort liner

disgustingly bright
Just go the HJC SY-Max 3 helmet in neon yellow. First off its disgustingly bright, not that that's a bad thing, and it does grow on you. As far as fit its snug with out being tight. Thanks Brian on fitting me, spot on. it turns when you turn your head with none of the poor fitting helmet lag. Those of you that have had more then one helmet know what I mean. The view out the visor is exceptional, even at the periphery of my vision I don't pick up the edge of the helmet. Wind noise is limited due to the way the pads seal around your head at the bottom of the helmet. Works well with the Sena SMH 10 communication system I use, with plenty of room for the speakers and mic under the chin bar. The only negative is that its really easy to unlock the chin bar when reaching up and pushing the chin bar to make those adjustments we all make when riding. All around nice helmet and comfortable meets my needs at a great price and great service from Atomic.
