TCX X-Helium Michelin Boots

The TCX X-Helium Michelin is an innovative boot with an unique design goal: to make an off road boot that is ultra-light and slim, while still being protective. While this seems an obvious idea, TCX is the first company to attempt it. They have succeeded. The X-Helium weighs in at 3.08 lbs for a size 45, making it the lightest MX boot we have ever tested, by a wide margin. The weight of the Helium is similar to the weight of ADV boots, which are much less protective. They feel very different; almost athletic when compared against most MX boots. Much of that light, slim feel comes from the sole, that TCX co-developed with Michelin. The feedback from the footpegs through this sole is excellent.
