Highly recommend Brian and Atomic Moto! Brian spent a ton of time on the phone with me gathering the info he needed to guide me in getting the best boots for me. Ended up with these Forma Terra Evo boots for road and light dirt riding and I couldn’t be happier. I have been recommending Atomic Moto to all my riding buddies and I am (almost) looking forward to the next time I need to buy some boots, it will definitely be from Atomic!
I have had an opportunity to ride over 300 miles in these boots. They are breaking in nicely. One of these rides was 200 miles and involved some off pavement riding. These boots are comfortable for all day use. The soles give really great grip on all surfaces and they inspire confidence. It takes a little time to adjust to shifting with them, but that is to be expected. I had to do some walking and they are fine as long as it isn't a multi-mile hike. The only issue I had was the top buckle unbuckled on the top right boot when I mounted the bike twice. That was probably my fault. They are not optimal for running around the city, but that is not what they are designed for. I will be looking for another boot for casual riding. Overall they are a great touring boot that can be worn for hours and offer really good protection. I expect they will get even better with more use. I would recommend them and buy them again. High quality at a fair price. Thanks Brian for the advice!
I recently purchased a BMW R1200 GSA. My past motorcycle was Victory Vision. Last year I underwent surgery for a broken 5th metatarsal on my right foot due to a freak drop of the Victory. Lost 3 months of work and riding. After purchasing the GSA, I decided to get proper foot protection right up front. After asking about my riding style and intentions, I ultimately ended up with this Forma model. I wore them for 8 hours last night and the fit is perfect at a 13. They protect all of the key areas I am concerned about and while not ballerina shoes, have been surprising comfortable to walk around the house with. Brian's recommendation is a home run and he really knows boots. I should be getting out for a days ride soon involving some rough roads and off pavement. I feel much safer knowing I have the right boot for the job. I will update later after I get some miles with these boots, but my gut tells me they will be great.
I bought both these boots and the Gaerne Dakar boots to see which ones fit better and provided the protection I was looking for. And the answer was the Terra Evos. The fit is right, I wear a size 11 and I purchased size 45. There is a bit of volume that you might want to soak up by replacing the stock insert with an aftermarket one, which I did. Also note these boots are tall and beefy at the top. Depending on the cut of your riding pants, your pant leg may be pretty snug around the top of the boot. In sum, these boots fit great, are super comfortable, provide the protection I was looking for, and the customer service was great.
Fantastic boots with excellent protection, the materials used and welt sole exemplify a high degree of handmade quality that will last a long time with hard use. Brian at Atomic was incredibly helpful and helped guide me in choosing this product over another that was offered, in my past experience the Atomic team has always been helpful and experts in their product offerings. Can't say enough positive things about Atomic and the product they carry!
Very comfortable right out of the box, size 49 is perfect for a size 13EEE.
Brian was great to work with and help me find the right boots that would fit properly!
These boots feel very sturdy and protective which I love. Protection was my top priority with this purchase and I feel these boots will hold up to whatever challenge I put them to.
Having wide feet I was worried that they would be too tight, but the fit is just right. Maybe a bit snug, but the sizing in my eye seems a bit generous and there's enough room for my feet to not feel cramped.
I did have one issue with the lowest buckle on the boot. With my high arches/instep, the part of the buckle where the strap is held in place created a pressure point that made my feet/toes fall asleep after about 5 minutes of wearing the boots. Even leaving the buckle at the widest setting would not alleviate this issue.
I ended up taking some side cutters to the retaining bit of the strap and cut the protruding bit flush with the rest of the strap parts. After this mod the boots feel much more comfortable and I do not have issues with my toes falling asleep. The only concern now is that the removable part of the strap could "fall out", however if the buckle is left done up when the boots are stored there does not seem to be an issue.
All in all, I highly recommend these boots to someone with protection as their top priority and reasonably wide feet. If you have high arches/instep, be aware that there may be pressure points, but easily fixed through a simple "trim".
Excellent fit. Wide toe box, quality build and materials.
Excellent customer service (best in business). Will buy from here again.
Ordered these boots a couple weeks ago. A few days after my order, I got a call from Brian to inform me the boots might take a few days to get to me. Now, I’m nursing a broken foot, so time isn’t an issue. Boots finally arrived with an awesome pair of compression socks as a bonus. I’ve ordered from this company before and have never had a complaint. The fact I was contacted by phone about a few days delay on my order speaks volumes about atomic moto. This is how small businesses stand out and why we need to support them. Thanks Brian!
After much research and even a purchase and return (from Amazon) of an O’Neal Element I went with the Boulder Comp as recommended by Atomic staff. I found out that I have very little room for a boot with a higher toe box because of my shift lever. The Boulder Comp was better, although I did have to adjust shift lever. Shifting is far from idea but manageable. I wear a 10 1/2 in most shoes and ordered size 11 in the comp. The fit is good. The bottom portion is very stiff with hot spots on the top of my arches. The top upper portion has good flex and is comfortable. Buckle system seems good, functional and sturdy. The material on these is synthetic. I imagine with time the foot area should loosen up for better flex. The boots should offer good toe, heel and lateral support. The build quality appears to be very solid and they are not made in Chine, big plus for me. I would have rather gone with a fully leather boot but they were sold out. Brian at Atomic is outstanding and really knows boots. They were ordered and delivered in less than 5 business days. If the bottom half of the boot loosens over time, then you would be hard pressed to find a better boot at this price point.
