Fits well for us with big calves. They fit me with a 21 inch calves The quality of construction seems to be A+. No complaints at all. I didn’t notice them being more hot than a regular boot. Brian with Atomic Moto is the best for customer service. 10/10 recommend Atomic Moto and the Gaerne SG22 Goretex enduro.
I just received my pair of SG-22’s and they fit great! These are almost as comfortable as my hiking boots (which are very comfortable)! A special thanks to Brian for all his great help and advice. I would highly recommend Atomic-Moto for all your riding equipment needs.
So far so good! I've ridden with them in the dry and in the wet. Gortex seems to be doing its job. the boots are quite comfortable right out of the box. Seems like they might run a bit big, my size 13 are a full inch longer than my size 13 Alpinstars. I thought about replacing with size 12 but I like the way they feel on my feet so much I didn't do it. The wider boot combined with the stitching around the sole took a bit to get used to compared to the slim Alpinstars. had to adjust my shifter, which helped.
These boots feel very sturdy and protective which I love. Protection was my top priority with this purchase and I feel these boots will hold up to whatever challenge I put them to.
Having wide feet I was worried that they would be too tight, but the fit is just right. Maybe a bit snug, but the sizing in my eye seems a bit generous and there's enough room for my feet to not feel cramped.
I did have one issue with the lowest buckle on the boot. With my high arches/instep, the part of the buckle where the strap is held in place created a pressure point that made my feet/toes fall asleep after about 5 minutes of wearing the boots. Even leaving the buckle at the widest setting would not alleviate this issue.
I ended up taking some side cutters to the retaining bit of the strap and cut the protruding bit flush with the rest of the strap parts. After this mod the boots feel much more comfortable and I do not have issues with my toes falling asleep. The only concern now is that the removable part of the strap could "fall out", however if the buckle is left done up when the boots are stored there does not seem to be an issue.
All in all, I highly recommend these boots to someone with protection as their top priority and reasonably wide feet. If you have high arches/instep, be aware that there may be pressure points, but easily fixed through a simple "trim".
It is so tight around the ankle it will leave a bruise. Maybe I’ve big ankle bones.
So far it has been difficult to contact Atomic in order to determine what my options are.
Brian was awesome working with me to find boots that would best fit my wide shaped feet. These are incredible boots.
Wore this jacket on a 700 mile trip around southern AZ. Very comfortable.Very well made. Lots of zipper compartments. Breaths extremely well especially in the AZ heat. Roomy enough that I was able to wear a jacket underneath while riding through high country in the cool mornings. 10 out of 10 recommend
Slim toe is a big improvement. Best dual-sport/ADV touring boot on the market. Runs a size small.
I just wanted to share my experience with the Forma Adventure Low boots. Finding gear is usually a nightmare for me because I have a 11 4E foot, but after talking to Brian, he thought the size 12 or 46 would be my best bet.
He nailed it!
The left foot felt great from the start. My right foot has always been a bit bigger, but after just a short time wearing them around the house and breaking them in, I have no issues at all. The heel locks in very nicely and my feet don’t "slip" around inside, yet there is still all kinds of adjustment left on the buckles.
I took them out for a short 30 minute ride the other day and 4 hours later they still felt great! If you are looking for new boots, talk to Brian—the dude knows his boots!
Love the boots so far. Comfy out of the box and great feel in the soles.
