It was time for a new all weather jacket and I decided to upgrade to no liner. Atomic Moto/Brian was most helpful, as usual. We discussed my bike (R1200gs), riding preferences (lots of forest & farm roads...dirt & gravel, multi-day, camping), age, and sizing. He helped go thru the many options and choose between the options. Excellent service!
The fit is trim with room for a puffy underneath and plenty of sleeve length for my long arms. Not sure I will use the multitude of pockets but there are many options. Appears very well made with quality features - yes, it is a Klim.
I have been out for two day rides. Very comfortable on the bike. Two comments on the zippers: the forearm zippers feel stiff and long, poking into the bend of my elbow. I hope they 'soften' up. Second, I was pleased how easily the zippers opened while riding (the zippers on my Carlsbad pants require much more effort). The airflow on a 78 degree day was very good. Thanks Atomic Moto!
The Carlsbad jacket and pants saved me from serious injury in a recent accident. I recently came off at 80km in outback Australia. Slid down the dirt road with the bike on top of me. I suffered a broken ankle and that is all. No other bruising or grazes, no gravel rash. The broken ankle was due to foot catching the edge of the road and rotating.
They do seem like a good boot, overall I like them but have 4 issues. Main and biggest is the strap length, the straps in all positions are just way too short. Next I ordered a 14/49 and they are still pretty narrow. Third issue is they should mention treating the leather on the boot before first use or just do it from factory. A lot of wear where where the straps rub the leather, and they are not very water resistant. Lastly, I bought these because I thought that they would be a good balance of control, feel and protection. They are pretty much like every other boot where you cannot really feel the controls much at all. I am not a fan of the plastic molding in a toe box.
This all being said I do like the boot. I am hoping that they last if few seasons. I can't say I feel they offer a ton more protection or substantial gain over something like an O'Neill Ryder boot. But for three times the cost. I'm hoping I get three times to use, as the cheaper boots tend to only last a season or two.
I reached out to Brian from atomic and he helped get me into the best boots for my feet! Very comfortable and fit like a glove thanks again Brian
Comfortable!!! No sag!!These are great for motorcycling and I can see multi-sporting them to skiing, ice hockey, running, etc. Impressive socks and comfortable!!!
I'm happy with theses socks. They are the right length for my new Motocross boots. I can't say enough about Atomic-Moto, they are just great to deal with. I highly recommend dealing with them, no matter what you buy.
I'm super happy with these boots The quality seems great and they were already comfortable after just an hour or so of wearing them. They were even more comfortable after my first weekend wearing them and I think they will continue to break-in a little.
What is even better than the boots is Atomic-Moto! Brian was great to talk to and helped me find the right product for my situation. He tried to help me save money, rather than spend more than I needed to. I appreciate good customer service and being able to talk to a knowledgeable person. - That is EXACTLY what you get with Atomic-Moto!
