Boots are great, I have tried many boots over 35 years of riding. These are the best in my opinion, at least for me. No more big gaps at the motocross track and a recent foray into trials have made me purchase these. Originally I purchased just for trials, but lately I have been using them for General adventure riding and hardcore singletrack and have loved them every minute. Much more supple than a Tech 3,7,8,or the sidi crossfires, but still very supportive. I used to think I could wear those other high priced boots all day but now that I have tried these there is no way I would put myself through that again. These are much more comfortable for long periods. I only wish they had one more buckle near the top of boot instead of so much velcro, since velcro wears out and attracts debris. But its not a deal breaker. I will be buying these again when the current ones wear out. Best of all Atomic Moto is a great company to deal with. I ordered the wrong size and Atomic sent out the larger size before I could get the wrongs ones shipped back(it was the next morning after I told them they were too small). After a couple of rides I am really liking these boots and looking forward to the protection they will offer. They are surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. My Revit OTB pants fit over them and can also comfortably go inside - my pants just have a gusset and velcro, no zipper so fold really flat to go inside easily.
On sizing I'd say if you are using the Euro sizing as your guide they run small but more true to size on US sizing. I usually wear a 41 in boots (like my Forma ADV touring) and Women's size 9 or 10 which is US Men's 7 - 8. I originally ordered the 41 but it was just too tight and had to return those and size up to the 42. I've never worn a 42 in anything else before so I hesitated but the 42 fits great. I have wide feet and the toe box is nice and roomy.
Definitely a new style of boot for me vs my Forma ADV's. Had to lift my shift lever up one notch and adapt my shifting technique but after a couple of rides I'm getting the hang of it.
I think these boots look great and the quality feels really solid. I suspect these will last me a very long time!
I purchased the Sidi X-Power SC boots after breaking my ankle in the Astars Tech 7’s last July.I was looking for a boot with a high level of protection but with enough padding to not aggravate the new hardware that my ankle has been adorned with. These Sidi’s fill the bill. More protection than the Adventure Highs and Mids yet the same level of comfort. Excellent boots for me.
Have not wore them for long but they were comfortable almost immediately. Brian was great in helping me get the right pair. Repeat customer and will continue to be!
