Gaerne Balance Oiled boots are an incredible piece of gear. They blend super high quality materials with great fit, good protection, and just enough flex to comfortably wear and walk in, all day.

Gaerne probably has the best fit in the world, and the comfort of these is outstanding. The entire upper of the boot is made from 5 pieces, so very few seams. This allows the boot to crease without pressure points. They have a wide toe box, and are great for people with wide feet.

Balance Oileds have a world class quality that is hard to describe. Everything about them - materials, assembly, fit, styling - has a craftsmanship, a tangible feel of quality. They are impressive in that same way of an expensive watch, aluminum machined parts, etc.

Nice comfy boots right out of the box

Nice comfy boots right out of the box. Buckles system is a bit finicky to adjust length but not a show stopper. Nice boots, will definitely buy them again.

Brian was awesome! 10/10 customer service. He was recommended to me by Gaerne. Brian went above and beyond to make sure I bought the right size pair of Gaerne Balances Oiled. Will use again for buying moto/trial boots. Atomic Moto is also local to me in oregon which is awesome. They got me my boots very fast and right on time for the weekend.

A benchmark boot lives up to the hype

A benchmark boot lives up to the hype. OK, we know that Gaerne makes a premium motorcycle boot, and the Balance Oiled are, if not their apex offering, pretty darn close to it. It is genuinely hard to describe how beautiful these boots are until you hold them in your hand. Everything about them oozes quality and attention to detail. At the same time, these boots are clean and simple. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Instantly comfortable and the gum rubber sole is awesome on and off the bike. I didn't purchase these for off-road use because they don't offer the requisite level of protection for anything more than a fire road. For me, these are an urban or weekend street boot that feels good, looks good and does everything I need it to. And boy are they a looker. People who know nothing about motorcycling comment on these boots. The consensus is that they are "wicked cool".

I received today and they are lightweight and comfortable out of the box ad exactly how they are described. These are perfect for the type of riding I will be using them for 80% touring 20% dirt . Atomic Moto has never steered me wrong Thanks again Bombers!

Great Boot

Boots are great. Fit true to size and are very comfortable. The order was processed and shipped quickly. Very happy with this purchase.

Solid Protective and Great Looking

I found these boots way more confortable than the Leatt's 5.5, those were squeezing my ankles so much that the following day I still felt like I had the boots on.

Not with the Gaerne's, these boots are as comfy as a MX boot is going to get. They are well made, look great, and forgot I had them on until it was time to shift. There's definitely an adjustment period to learn how to shift on MX boots but that's the price for protection.

Fantastic dual sport/adventure boot

Bought these for dual sport rides on my Husky FE350S and Suzuki Vstrom as a more flexible and easier to walk in option than my Gaerne SG22 boots. These boots fit that bill, and the price was amazing. They broke in super quickly, fit wide but not too wide, and are much lighter feeling than my SG22 boots. I'm also easily able to wear thick socks if needed, so they will be great in Winter. Toe box is a little taller than the SG22 but not so much that I had to raise my shifter at all.

Great Boots

I have been very happy with my FastBack Enduro boots. I did modify them by taking some contact cement and adding a piece of flexible cutting board material as well as saddle leather to the inner part of the boot for more rigidity; HUGE help. That is the only downside to the boots, the lack of protection on the inner calf.

Otherwise they have been great for my hard enduro, trail riding and dual-sporting.

Comfort, flexibility and ease of operation. I wear a 9.5 to 10EE in regular shoes and I got these in a 9 and use a half insert (heel only) and they are just right.

Brian is incredible with his service, knowledge and attention to detail. If you take his advice/expertise, please don't go and patronize another business.

Without business owners like Brian, we'll all be pushing "1" for this and "2" for that option. Brian is serious about what he does and it's truly inspiring. When you buy from Brian, you know you'll be covered in the event of any issue.
