These boots feel very sturdy and protective which I love. Protection was my top priority with this purchase and I feel these boots will hold up to whatever challenge I put them to.
Having wide feet I was worried that they would be too tight, but the fit is just right. Maybe a bit snug, but the sizing in my eye seems a bit generous and there's enough room for my feet to not feel cramped.
I did have one issue with the lowest buckle on the boot. With my high arches/instep, the part of the buckle where the strap is held in place created a pressure point that made my feet/toes fall asleep after about 5 minutes of wearing the boots. Even leaving the buckle at the widest setting would not alleviate this issue.
I ended up taking some side cutters to the retaining bit of the strap and cut the protruding bit flush with the rest of the strap parts. After this mod the boots feel much more comfortable and I do not have issues with my toes falling asleep. The only concern now is that the removable part of the strap could "fall out", however if the buckle is left done up when the boots are stored there does not seem to be an issue.
All in all, I highly recommend these boots to someone with protection as their top priority and reasonably wide feet. If you have high arches/instep, be aware that there may be pressure points, but easily fixed through a simple "trim".

Ordered these boots a couple weeks ago. A few days after my order, I got a call from Brian to inform me the boots might take a few days to get to me. Now, I’m nursing a broken foot, so time isn’t an issue. Boots finally arrived with an awesome pair of compression socks as a bonus. I’ve ordered from this company before and have never had a complaint. The fact I was contacted by phone about a few days delay on my order speaks volumes about atomic moto. After much research and even a purchase and return (from Amazon) of an O’Neal Element I went with the Boulder Comp as recommended by Atomic staff. I found out that I have very little room for a boot with a higher toe box because of my shift lever. The Boulder Comp was better, although I did have to adjust shift lever. Shifting is far from idea but manageable. I wear a 10 1/2 in most shoes and ordered size 11 in the comp. The fit is good. The bottom portion is very stiff with hot spots on the top of my arches. The top upper portion has good flex and is comfortable. Buckle system seems good, functional and sturdy. The material on these is synthetic. I imagine with time the foot area should loosen up for better flex. The boots should offer good toe, heel and lateral support. The build quality appears to be very solid and they are not made in Chine, big plus for me. I would have rather gone with a fully leather boot but they were sold out. Brian at Atomic is outstanding and really knows boots. They were ordered and delivered in less than 5 business days. If the bottom half of the boot loosens over time, then you would be hard pressed to find a better boot at this price point.
