After hurting my foot and ankle a couple times riding I got these, they are comfortable and seem to be good protection. They are also pretty easy to walk in
Everything is as expected, except for two things:
1 - My feet like the original Forma sizing, so had to step up a size ... no biggie.
2 - The color (brown) is a bit lighter than I wanted, so I gave them a false patina with some black leather polish ... now looks exactly like I wanted!
No gripes about the boots themselves.
Sizing can be a little tricky so I advise consulting with Bryan. I ordered the Forma Boulders in the biggest size available, but could tell right away they were a bit small. Bryan immediately sent me a return authorization and I re-ordered Adventures in the 49EU/14US......they fit perfectly. Very sturdy lower leg protection, quality materials throughout, and comfortable to walk in. But the real 5 Star Rating goes to Bryan for his helpful, no-hassle commitment to customer service, which can be hard to find these days!
The Forma Adventure boots (I've got brown which looks very good) are sturdy, protective and comfortable to stand on pegs with. They are also comfortable for walks / short hikes to see scenery and trails (not for miles & miles). The tall boots shaft protects from branches or trail crap flinging up to hit your legs. I was initially concerned about the plastic snap buckles, but they've been perfectly reliable for 100s and 100s of miles; easy adjustment, stays put once set. You'll need above-the-calf or knee-high socks. And be sure you know your European shoe size Oh, did I mention they look really good? Designed in Italy, manufactured in Romania (mine anyway); excellent build quality.
Just an add on to my review in August to give a shout out to Forma USA. I had and issue with a strap and they took care of quickly with no hassle. Great boot, great all around service! Been riding in them for 3 months with around 700 miles of both on and off road and they are comfortable. I also did some short hiking in the mountains, 1/4 mile at a time off bike and they felt almost like my regular hiking boots, just higher.
Absolutely love my Tech 7. This is my 2nd pair that I'm buying in last 4 years. These shoes you can wear them instantly (from box to bike) without a break in period
These boots are actually lighter than I thought they would be and are very comfortable. Surprising for a full protection boot!
These boots are everything Atomic Motos videos say they are.construction and materials are top quality.I measured my feet and selected the size accordingly and the fit is right on.would recommend these to everyone.Ordering form Atomic Moto was also great they actually care about what they are doing unlike so many places out there these days.
This is my first pair of motocross boots so this review is strictly regarding fit. I typically wear 8 1/2 wide shoes/boots. I’d say my left foot is E and my right foot is EEE. I have a pair of TCX street boots size 42 and a pair of Forma Adventure boots size 42, both fit fine. I first tried Alpine Stars Tech 7 size 9, not wide enough, actually hurt my right foot at the joint at the base of my pinky toe (no bunion). Next tried Gaerne SG-12 size 9, wide enough but had a pressure point just above my ankle on the inside of right leg. Didn’t want to take a chance on that breaking in so returned them. Then tried Leatt 4.5 Enduro size 9, wider than the Tech 7’s but not wide enough. These were all purchased and returned from another company. I then called Atomic Moto and spoke with Brian. He recommended three boots. I tried the Forma Predator 2.0 Enduro size 43/9, still too tight on right foot. Returned those for the Gaerne SG-22 size 9 and they fit perfect no pressure point. Brian really knows his boots, highly recommend calling him first if you are undecided or need help.
Great service & Great product, better than the originals that came with boots, super comfy.
