After a bunch of ride time on and off road I've yet to have any issues with them. Most of the time I forget they are there. Until walking, at which point it feels as if your boots come up above your knees. Still feeling it was money well spent for protecting questionable old knees!
Just received my new Pod K8 2.0's (both left & right) Was going to go with another brand but changed my mind due to Pods fitting videos and simplicity. I have had a custom brace for my left knee for the last seven years. It was heavy and great for skiing but not on the motorcycle. First impressions of the Pod braces out of the box and fitting, they are better than my custom brace and WAY lighter. Also pulling knee pads out of my Klim pants (D30) due to the build and placement of protection on the Pod's. Also without the pads in the pant knee's it's a much nicer fit (the Klim pants are over the boot). After riding these for awhile I'll come back with a ride update but for now I'm impressed with them and glad for going this direction.
These boots are amazing! The first pair were over 15 years old, and still going but I decided to replace them with the new one with the buckle.
These boots are awesome. Was using road specific boots for ADV riding for a bit and these are a huge upgrade. The thick soles feel great when standing while riding. Keep in mind that these boots are fairly narrow. They killed my wide feet for the first few times I wore them. Literal worst pain. Then eventually broke in and fit really well. Also they squeak a lot.
Brian at Atomic is the best in the biz. He knows his stuff. Amazing customer service over the last 10 years!
Just what I was looking for. Expert fitting advice was spot on. Thanks!
Only two rides with the Jackson pants so far.
Both rides the temps were low 60’s to mid 80’s. I was completely comfortable and never felt cold or over heated in them.
My D30 knee and hip pads from my klim dakars fit perfectly in them.
I wear size 34 pants and the Jacksons are true to size. I like em alot. Im riding my 690 in the mountains with a 1 hour pavement slog to get there and I feel protected and comfortable. Highly recommended.
